Da goss er über sie seinen glühenden Zorn aus und den Schrecken des Krieges: Ringsum hat er sie umlodert, doch sie merkten es nicht; du hast sie in Brand gesetzt, doch sie nahmen es sich nicht zu Herzen.

Darum hat er über sie ausgeschüttet den Grimm seines Zorns und eine Kriegsmacht; und hat sie umher angezündet, aber sie merken’s nicht; und hat sie angebrannt, aber sie nehmen’s nicht zu Herzen.

Darum bekamen sie seinen glühenden Zorn zu spüren: Er ließ Krieg ausbrechen; sie waren eingeschlossen von loderndem Feuer. Das ganze Land brannte — aber sie wollten nicht einsehen, dass der Herr sie straft. Sie ließen sich nicht belehren.
