Das Wort des HERRN erging an mich:
Distresses Foretold
The word of the LORD also came to me saying,
The word of the LORD also came to me saying,
Du sollst dir keine Frau nehmen und weder Söhne noch Töchter haben an diesem Ort.
“You shall not take a wife for yourself nor have sons or daughters in this place.”
Denn so spricht der HERR über die Söhne und Töchter, die an diesem Ort geboren werden, über ihre Mütter, die sie gebären, und über ihre Väter, die sie zeugen in diesem Land:
For thus says the LORD concerning the sons and daughters born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bear them, and their fathers who beget them in this land:
Eines qualvollen Todes müssen sie sterben; man wird sie nicht beklagen und nicht begraben; sie werden zum Dünger auf dem Acker. Durch Schwert und Hunger kommen sie um; ihre Leichen werden zum Fraß für die Vögel des Himmels und die Tiere des Feldes.
“They will die of deadly diseases, they will not be lamented or buried; they will be as dung on the surface of the ground and come to an end by sword and famine, and their carcasses will become food for the birds of the sky and for the beasts of the earth.”
Ja, so hat der HERR gesprochen: Betritt kein Trauerhaus, geh nicht zur Totenklage und bezeig niemandem Beileid! Denn ich habe diesem Volk mein Heil entzogen — Spruch des HERRN — , die Güte und das Erbarmen.
For thus says the LORD, “Do not enter a house of mourning, or go to lament or to console them; for I have withdrawn My peace from this people,” declares the LORD, “My lovingkindness and compassion.
Groß und Klein muss sterben in diesem Land; man wird sie nicht begraben und nicht beklagen. Niemand ritzt sich ihretwegen wund oder schert sich kahl.
“Both great men and small will die in this land; they will not be buried, they will not be lamented, nor will anyone gash himself or shave his head for them.
Keinem wird man das Trauerbrot brechen, um ihn wegen eines Verstorbenen zu trösten; man wird ihnen nicht den Trostbecher zu trinken geben wegen seines Vaters oder seiner Mutter.
“Men will not break bread in mourning for them, to comfort anyone for the dead, nor give them a cup of consolation to drink for anyone’s father or mother.
Auch ein Haus, in dem ein Festmahl stattfindet, sollst du nicht betreten, um mit ihnen zu sitzen, zu essen und zu trinken.
“Moreover you shall not go into a house of feasting to sit with them to eat and drink.”
Denn so spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Siehe, verstummen lasse ich an diesem Ort, vor euren Augen und in euren Tagen, Jubelruf und Freudenruf, den Ruf des Bräutigams und den Ruf der Braut.
For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: “Behold, I am going to eliminate from this place, before your eyes and in your time, the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride.
Wenn du nun diesem Volk das alles verkündest und man dich fragt: Warum droht der HERR uns all dieses schwere Unheil an? Worin besteht unsre Schuld und worin unsere Sünde, die wir gegen den HERRN, unsern Gott, begangen haben?,
“Now when you tell this people all these words, they will say to you, ‘For what reason has the LORD declared all this great calamity against us? And what is our iniquity, or what is our sin which we have committed against the LORD our God?’
so antworte ihnen: Weil eure Väter mich verlassen haben — Spruch des HERRN — und anderen Göttern nachliefen, ihnen dienten und sich vor ihnen niederwarfen. Mich aber haben sie verlassen und meine Weisung nicht bewahrt.
“Then you are to say to them, ‘It is because your forefathers have forsaken Me,’ declares the LORD, ‘and have followed other gods and served them and bowed down to them; but Me they have forsaken and have not kept My law.
Ihr selbst aber habt es noch schlimmer getrieben als eure Väter. Siehe: Jeder von euch folgt der Verstocktheit seines bösen Herzens, ohne auf mich zu hören.
‘You too have done evil, even more than your forefathers; for behold, you are each one walking according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me.
Darum schleudere ich euch aus diesem Land hinaus, in das Land, das euch und euren Vätern unbekannt war. Dort werdet ihr anderen Göttern dienen Tag und Nacht, weil ich euch keine Gnade schenke.
‘So I will hurl you out of this land into the land which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers; and there you will serve other gods day and night, for I will grant you no favor.’
Darum siehe, Tage kommen — Spruch des HERRN — , da sagt man nicht mehr: So wahr der HERR lebt, der die Söhne Israels aus dem Land Ägypten heraufgeführt hat!,
God Will Restore Them
“Therefore behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when it will no longer be said, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’
sondern: So wahr der HERR lebt, der die Söhne Israels aus dem Nordland und aus allen Ländern, in die er sie verstoßen hatte, heraufgeführt hat. Ich bringe sie zurück in ihr Heimatland, das ich ihren Vätern gegeben habe.
but, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them.’ For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers.
Siehe, ich sende viele Fischer — Spruch des HERRN — , die sollen sie fischen und danach sende ich viele Jäger, die sollen sie erjagen auf jedem Berg und auf jedem Hügel und in den Felsenklüften.
“Behold, I am going to send for many fishermen,” declares the LORD, “and they will fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and every hill and from the clefts of the rocks.
Denn meine Augen sind über allen ihren Wegen; sie können sich vor mir nicht verstecken und ihre Schuld ist vor meinen Augen nicht verborgen.
“For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes.
So vergelte ich zunächst doppelt ihre Schuld und ihre Sünde, weil sie mein Land entweiht haben; mit dem Aas ihrer Scheusale und durch ihre Gräuel haben sie mein Erbteil angefüllt.
“I will first doubly repay their iniquity and their sin, because they have polluted My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable idols and with their abominations.”
HERR, meine Kraft und meine Burg, meine Zuflucht am Tag der Not! Zu dir kommen Völker von den Enden der Erde und sagen: Nur Trug erbten unsre Väter, Wahngebilde, die nichts nützen.
O LORD, my strength and my stronghold,
And my refuge in the day of distress,
To You the nations will come
From the ends of the earth and say,
“Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood,
Futility and things of no profit.”

Kann ein Mensch sich denn Götter machen? — Doch Götter sind es dann nicht!
Can man make gods for himself?
Yet they are not gods!
Yet they are not gods!
Darum siehe, ich bringe sie zur Erkenntnis; diesmal bringe ich sie zur Erkenntnis meiner Macht und meiner Stärke und sie werden erkennen, dass mein Name HERR ist.
“Therefore behold, I am going to make them know —
This time I will make them know
My power and My might;
And they shall know that My name is the LORD.”
