Dein böses Tun straft dich, deine Abtrünnigkeit züchtigt dich. So erkenne doch und sieh ein, wie schlimm und bitter es ist, den HERRN, deinen Gott, zu verlassen und keine Furcht vor mir zu haben — Spruch des Herrn, des GOTTES der Heerscharen.

Es ist deiner Bosheit Schuld, daß du so gestäupt wirst, und deines Ungehorsams, daß du so gestraft wirst. Also mußt du innewerden und erfahren, was es für Jammer und Herzeleid bringt, den HERRN, deinen Gott, verlassen und ihn nicht fürchten, spricht der HERR HERR Zebaoth.

Deine eigene Bosheit wird dich strafen, deine Untreue bringt dich zu Fall: Erkenne doch, wie schmerzlich und bitter es ist, dass du mich, den HERRN, deinen Gott, verlassen hast und mir keine Ehrfurcht mehr erweist. Das sage ich, der allmächtige HERR und Gott.
