Viele kamen durch ihn zu Fall, sie stürzten, einer über den anderen. Da sagten sie: Auf, wir wollen zurückkehren zu unsrem Volk, ins Land unsrer Sippe, vor dem gewalttätigen Schwert!

Er macht, daß ihrer viel fallen, daß einer mit dem andern darniederliegt. Da sprachen sie: Wohlauf, laßt uns wieder zu unserm Volk ziehen, in unser Vaterland vor dem Schwert des Tyrannen!

Ja, ich ließ viele von ihnen stürzen, einer fiel über den anderen. Die Söldner rufen einander zu: ›Kommt, wir fliehen und kehren zurück in die Heimat zu unseren Landsleuten, bevor wir alle umkommen!‹
