Ich fragte den Engel, der mit mir redete: Was bedeuten diese? Er antwortete mir: Das sind die Hörner, die Juda, Israel und Jerusalem zerstreut haben.
Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.
Darauf ließ mich der HERR vier Schmiede sehen.
And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
Ich fragte: Wozu sind diese gekommen? Und er antwortete: Jene sind die Hörner, die Juda zerstreut haben, sodass kein Mensch mehr sein Haupt erhob; die Schmiede aber sind gekommen, um sie zu erschrecken und die Hörner der Völker niederzuwerfen, die das Horn gegen Juda erhoben haben, um es zu zerstreuen.
And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:

For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
Ich fragte: Wohin gehst du? Er antwortete mir: Jerusalem auszumessen, um zu sehen, wie breit und wie lang es ist.
The Redemption of Zion
Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

Und siehe, da trat der Engel, der mit mir redete, hervor und ein anderer Engel trat auf, ihm entgegen.
Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
Er sagte zu ihm: Lauf und sag dem jungen Mann dort: Jerusalem wird eine offene Stadt sein wegen der vielen Menschen und Tiere in seiner Mitte.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
Ich selbst — Spruch des HERRN — werde für Jerusalem ringsum eine Mauer von Feuer sein und zur Herrlichkeit werden in seiner Mitte.
For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.
Auf, auf! Flieht aus dem Land des Nordens — Spruch des HERRN. Denn wie die vier Winde des Himmels habe ich euch zerstreut — Spruch des HERRN.
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
Wehe, Zion, die du bei der Tochter Babel wohnst, rette dich!
And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
Denn so spricht der HERR der Heerscharen — um der Ehre willen hat er mich gesandt — gegen die Völker, die euch ausgeplündert haben: Wer euch antastet, tastet meinen Augapfel an.
And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
