Von da an begann Jesus, seinen Jüngern zu erklären: Er müsse nach Jerusalem gehen und von den Ältesten und Hohepriestern und Schriftgelehrten vieles erleiden, getötet und am dritten Tag auferweckt werden.

Von der Zeit an fing Jesus an und zeigte seinen Jüngern, wie er müßte hin gen Jerusalem gehen und viel leiden von den Ältesten und Hohenpriestern und Schriftgelehrten und getötet werden und am dritten Tage auferstehen.

Danach sprach Jesus mit seinen Jüngern zum ersten Mal offen über das, was ihm bevorstand: »Wir müssen nach Jerusalem gehen. Dort werde ich von den führenden Männern des Volkes, den obersten Priestern und den Schriftgelehrten vieles zu erleiden haben und getötet werden. Aber am dritten Tag werde ich von den Toten auferstehen.«
