Then the border went up to Beth-hoglah, and continued on the north of Beth-arabah, and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
Vom Tal Achor steigt sie empor nach Debir und wendet sich nordwärts nach Gelilot gegenüber der Steige von Adummim, die südlich des Bachtals liegt; dann führt sie hinüber zum Wasser von En-Schemesch und läuft hinaus zur Rogel-Quelle.
The border went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and turned northward toward Gilgal which is opposite the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south of the valley; and the border continued to the waters of En-shemesh and it ended at En-rogel.
Von da an steigt die Grenze hinauf in das Ben-Hinnom-Tal südlich des Bergrückens der Jebusiter — das ist Jerusalem — und weiter empor zum Gipfel des Berges, der gegenüber dem Hinnom-Tal westwärts am nördlichen Rand der Rafaïter-Ebene liegt.
Then the border went up the valley of Ben-hinnom to the slope of the Jebusite on the south (that is, Jerusalem); and the border went up to the top of the mountain which is before the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the end of the valley of Rephaim toward the north.
Vom Gipfel des Berges biegt die Grenze ab zur Neftoach-Quelle und führt hinaus zu den Städten des Berges Efron. Dann biegt sie ab nach Baala, das ist Kirjat-Jearim.
From the top of the mountain the border curved to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah and proceeded to the cities of Mount Ephron, then the border curved to Baalah (that is, Kiriath-jearim).

The border turned about from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and continued to the slope of Mount Jearim on the north (that is, Chesalon), and went down to Beth-shemesh and continued through Timnah.
Dann verläuft sie hinaus zur Nordflanke von Ekron, biegt ab nach Schikkaron, geht hinüber zum Berg Baala und hinaus nach Jabneel. Die Grenze läuft aus am Meer.
The border proceeded to the side of Ekron northward. Then the border curved to Shikkeron and continued to Mount Baalah and proceeded to Jabneel, and the border ended at the sea.
Das große Meer und das Küstengebiet bilden die Westgrenze. Das ist das Gebiet der Judäer ringsum, entsprechend ihren Sippen.
The west border was at the Great Sea, even its coastline. This is the border around the sons of Judah according to their families.
Kaleb aber, dem Sohn Jefunnes, gab Josua einen Anteil mitten unter den Judäern, nach der Anweisung des HERRN an Josua, und zwar Kirjat-Arba — Arba war der Vater Anaks — , das ist Hebron.
Now he gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the sons of Judah, according to the command of the LORD to Joshua, namely, Kiriath-arba, Arba being the father of Anak (that is, Hebron).
Kaleb vertrieb von dort die drei Anakiter Scheschai, Ahiman und Talmai, die Söhne Anaks.
Caleb drove out from there the three sons of Anak: Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak.
Von dort zog er hinauf zu den Einwohnern von Debir. Debir hieß früher Kirjat-Sefer.
Then he went up from there against the inhabitants of Debir; now the name of Debir formerly was Kiriath-sepher.
Und Kaleb sagte: Wer Kirjat-Sefer besiegt und einnimmt, dem gebe ich meine Tochter Achsa zur Frau.
And Caleb said, “The one who attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give him Achsah my daughter as a wife.”
Otniël, der Sohn des Kenas, eines Bruders Kalebs, nahm die Stadt ein und Kaleb gab ihm seine Tochter Achsa zur Frau.
Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, captured it; so he gave him Achsah his daughter as a wife.
Als sie nun ankam, drängte sie ihn, von ihrem Vater ein Stück Land zu verlangen. Sie ließ sich vom Esel herabgleiten und Kaleb fragte sie: Was hast du?
It came about that when she came to him, she persuaded him to ask her father for a field. So she alighted from the donkey, and Caleb said to her, “What do you want?”
Sie antwortete: Gib mir einen Segen! Wenn du mich schon ins Trockenland geschickt hast, dann gib mir auch Wasserstellen! Da gab er ihr die obere und die untere Wasserquelle.
Then she said, “Give me a blessing; since you have given me the land of the Negev, give me also springs of water.” So he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.

Now the cities at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah toward the border of Edom in the south were Kabzeel and Eder and Jagur,
Hazor-Hadatta, Kerijot-Hezron, das ist Hazor,
and Hazor-hadattah and Kerioth-hezron (that is, Hazor),
Hazar-Schual, Beerscheba und seine Tochterstädte,
and Hazar-shual and Beersheba and Biziothiah,
Lebaot, Schilhim und En-Rimmon: im Ganzen neunundzwanzig Städte mit ihren Gehöften;
and Lebaoth and Shilhim and Ain and Rimmon; in all, twenty-nine cities with their villages.
Schaarajim, Aditajim, Gedera und Gederotajim: vierzehn Städte mit ihren Gehöften;
and Shaaraim and Adithaim and Gederah and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages.
Gederot, Bet-Dagon, Naama und Makkeda: sechzehn Städte mit ihren Gehöften;
and Gederoth, Beth-dagon and Naamah and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages.
Keïla, Achsib und Marescha: neun Städte mit ihren Gehöften;
and Keilah and Achzib and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages.
von Ekron bis zum Meer alles, was auf der Seite von Aschdod liegt, samt ihren Gehöften;
from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.
Aschdod mit ihren Tochterstädten und Gehöften, Gaza mit ihren Tochterstädten und Gehöften bis zum Grenzbach Ägyptens und zum großen Meer mit dem Küstengebiet;
Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; as far as the brook of Egypt and the Great Sea, even its coastline.
Goschen, Holon und Gilo: elf Städte mit ihren Gehöften;
and Goshen and Holon and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages.
Humta, Kirjat-Arba, das ist Hebron, und Zior: neun Städte und ihre Gehöfte;
and Humtah and Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), and Zior; nine cities with their villages.
Kain, Gibea und Timna: zehn Städte mit ihren Gehöften;
Kain, Gibeah and Timnah; ten cities with their villages.
Maarat, Bet-Anot und Eltekon: sechs Städte mit ihren Gehöften; Tekoa, Efrata, das ist Betlehem, Pegor, Etam, Kulon, Tatam, Schoresch, Kerem, Gallim, Bet-Ter und Manocho: elf Städte mit ihren Gehöften:
and Maarath and Beth-anoth and Eltekon; six cities with their villages.
Kirjat-Baal, das ist Kirjat-Jearim, und Rabba: zwei Städte mit ihren Gehöften;
Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.

In the wilderness: Beth-arabah, Middin and Secacah,
Nibschan, Ir-Melach und En-Gedi: sechs Städte mit ihren Gehöften.
and Nibshan and the City of Salt and Engedi; six cities with their villages.
Nur die Jebusiter, die in Jerusalem wohnten, konnten die Judäer nicht vertreiben und so wohnen die Jebusiter bis zum heutigen Tag mit den Judäern zusammen in Jerusalem.
Now as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not drive them out; so the Jebusites live with the sons of Judah at Jerusalem until this day.
