Dorthin kann jeder fliehen, der getötet hat, das heißt, der versehentlich, ohne Vorsatz, einen Menschen erschlagen hat. Die Städte sollen euch als Asyl vor dem Bluträcher dienen.

dahin fliehen möge ein Totschläger, der eine Seele unversehens und unwissend schlägt, daß sie unter euch frei seien vor dem Bluträcher.

Sie sollen jedem Schutz bieten, der ohne Absicht einen Menschen getötet hat. An diesen Orten ist man vor der Blutrache sicher.
