“Tell the sons of Israel to raise a contribution for Me; from every man whose heart moves him you shall raise My contribution.

blue, purple and scarlet material, fine linen, goat hair,
rot gefärbte Felle von Schafböcken, Tachasch-Leder, Akazienholz,
rams’ skins dyed red, porpoise skins, acacia wood,
Öl für den Leuchter, wohlriechende Gewürze für das Salböl und die Weihrauchmischung,
oil for lighting, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense,
Onyx-Steine und andere Edelsteine, die auf dem Schurz und der Brusttasche des Priesters eingesetzt werden können.
onyx stones and setting stones for the ephod and for the breastpiece.
Die Israeliten sollen mir aus diesen Materialien ein Heiligtum bauen, denn ich will bei ihnen wohnen.
“Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them.
Fertigt das Heiligtum und alles, was dazugehört, genau so an, wie ich es dir jetzt zeigen werde!«
“According to all that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall construct it.
»Die Israeliten sollen einen Kasten aus Akazienholz bauen, eineinviertel Meter lang, einen Dreiviertelmeter breit und ebenso hoch.
Ark of the Covenant
“They shall construct an ark of acacia wood two and a half cubits long, and one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.
Innen und außen sollen sie ihn mit reinem Gold überziehen und auf der Oberseite ringsum eine goldene Zierleiste anbringen.
“You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and you shall make a gold molding around it.
Lass vier Ringe gießen, die ebenfalls aus Gold bestehen. Sie werden an den vier unteren Ecken des Kastens befestigt, je zwei Ringe an jeder Längsseite.
“You shall cast four gold rings for it and fasten them on its four feet, and two rings shall be on one side of it and two rings on the other side of it.
Dann sollen Tragstangen aus Akazienholz angefertigt und mit Gold überzogen werden.
“You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
Sie werden durch die Ringe an den Längsseiten des Kastens gesteckt, damit man ihn daran tragen kann.
“You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them.
Die Tragstangen müssen stets an ihrem Ort bleiben und dürfen nicht mehr aus den Ringen herausgezogen werden.
“The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it.
In die Bundeslade sollst du die beiden Steintafeln legen, die ich dir geben werde. Auf ihnen sind meine Gebote und Weisungen niedergeschrieben.
“You shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.
Lass auch eine Deckplatte aus reinem Gold für den Kasten herstellen, eineinviertel Meter lang und einen Dreiviertelmeter breit.
“You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.
Dann sollen zwei Keruben aus massivem Gold geschmiedet werden, die an den beiden Enden der Deckplatte stehen. Die Platte und die beiden Figuren sollen aus einem Stück gearbeitet sein.
“You shall make two cherubim of gold, make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat.
Die Keruben breiten ihre Flügel nach oben aus und beschirmen die Deckplatte, die Gesichter sind einander zugewandt und ihre Augen auf die Platte gerichtet.
“The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat.
Die Deckplatte soll die Bundeslade verschließen, in der die beiden Steintafeln mit den Geboten liegen, die ich dir geben werde.
“You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you.
An dieser Stelle, über der Bundeslade zwischen den beiden Keruben, will ich mich dir offenbaren und dir alles sagen, was du den Israeliten weitergeben sollst.«
“There I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel.
»Lass einen Tisch aus Akazienholz anfertigen, einen Meter lang, einen halben Meter breit und einen Dreiviertelmeter hoch.
The Table of Showbread
“You shall make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long and one cubit wide and one and a half cubits high.
Er soll mit reinem Gold überzogen sein und ringsum eine goldene Zierleiste haben.
“You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a gold border around it.
Auf die Tischplatte soll eine 8 Zentimeter hohe Umrandung aus Gold aufgesetzt werden, die auch wieder ringsum mit einer goldenen Leiste verziert wird.
“You shall make for it a rim of a handbreadth around it; and you shall make a gold border for the rim around it.
Lass vier Ringe aus massivem Gold gießen und sie an den vier Seiten anbringen, wo die Tischbeine anfangen.
“You shall make four gold rings for it and put rings on the four corners which are on its four feet.
Die Ringe sollen dicht unter der Goldumrandung befestigt sein; sie müssen die Stangen halten, mit denen man den Tisch trägt.
“The rings shall be close to the rim as holders for the poles to carry the table.
Auch die Stangen sollen aus Akazienholz gefertigt und mit Gold überzogen sein.
“You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that with them the table may be carried.
Lass Schüsseln und Schalen, Kannen und Opferschalen machen, alles aus reinem Gold. Aus ihnen soll man das Trankopfer ausgießen.
“You shall make its dishes and its pans and its jars and its bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold.
Auf dem Tisch sollen stets die Brote liegen, die mir geweiht sind.«
“You shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before Me at all times.
»Lass einen Leuchter aus reinem Gold anfertigen. Fuß und Schaft sollen geschmiedet sein, und am Schaft sollen sich Kelche in Form von Knospen und Blüten befinden. Sie werden nicht aufgesetzt, sondern aus einem Stück mit dem Leuchter gearbeitet.
The Golden Lampstand
“Then you shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand and its base and its shaft are to be made of hammered work; its cups, its bulbs and its flowers shall be of one piece with it.
Vom Schaft gehen sechs Seitenarme aus, drei nach jeder Seite.
“Six branches shall go out from its sides; three branches of the lampstand from its one side and three branches of the lampstand from its other side.
Jeder Arm soll mit drei Kelchen verziert sein, die wie die Knospen und Blüten des Mandelbaums aussehen,
“Three cups shall be shaped like almond blossoms in the one branch, a bulb and a flower, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bulb and a flower — so for six branches going out from the lampstand;
der Schaft selbst mit vier solchen Kelchen.
and in the lampstand four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its bulbs and its flowers.
Drei davon sollen jeweils unter den Ansätzen der Seitenarme angebracht werden.
“A bulb shall be under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand.
Die Seitenarme und Kelche sollen wie der ganze Leuchter aus einem einzigen Stück reinem Gold geschmiedet sein.
“Their bulbs and their branches shall be of one piece with it; all of it shall be one piece of hammered work of pure gold.
Lass sieben Lampen anfertigen und sie mit dem Docht nach vorne auf die Arme des Leuchters setzen, damit sie den Raum erhellen.
“Then you shall make its lamps seven in number; and they shall mount its lamps so as to shed light on the space in front of it.
Die dazugehörigen Dochtscheren und Schalen sollen ebenfalls aus reinem Gold sein.
“Its snuffers and their trays shall be of pure gold.
Aus 35 Kilogramm reinem Gold sollst du den Leuchter und alle diese Gegenstände herstellen lassen.
“It shall be made from a talent of pure gold, with all these utensils.
