Der HERR antwortete Mose: »Bald wirst du sehen, was ich mit dem Pharao mache! Ich werde ihn dazu zwingen, mein Volk gehen zu lassen. Wenn er meine Macht zu spüren bekommt, wird er sogar froh sein, euch loszuwerden!«

Then the LORD told Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh. When he feels the force of my strong hand, he will let the people go. In fact, he will force them to leave his land!”

Gott sprach noch einmal zu Mose: »Ich bin der HERR!
Euren Vorfahren Abraham, Isaak und Jakob bin ich als der allmächtige Gott erschienen, aber meinen Namen ›der HERR‹ habe ich ihnen nicht offenbart.
Ich habe mit ihnen meinen Bund geschlossen und darin versprochen, ihnen das Land Kanaan zu geben, in dem sie als Fremde gelebt haben.
And I reaffirmed my covenant with them. Under its terms, I promised to give them the land of Canaan, where they were living as foreigners.
Nun habe ich gehört, wie die Israeliten als Sklaven der Ägypter stöhnen. Ich habe an meinen Bund mit ihnen gedacht.
You can be sure that I have heard the groans of the people of Israel, who are now slaves to the Egyptians. And I am well aware of my covenant with them.
Darum richte den Israeliten aus: Ich bin der HERR! Ich will euch von eurer schweren Arbeit erlösen und euch von der Unterdrückung durch die Ägypter befreien. Mit starker Hand werde ich die Ägypter strafen und mein Urteil an ihnen vollstrecken. Euch aber werde ich retten.
“Therefore, say to the people of Israel: ‘I am the LORD. I will free you from your oppression and will rescue you from your slavery in Egypt. I will redeem you with a powerful arm and great acts of judgment.
Ich nehme euch als mein Volk an, und ich will euer Gott sein. Ja, ihr sollt erkennen, dass ich der HERR, euer Gott, bin, der euch aus der Sklaverei Ägyptens befreit!
I will claim you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God who has freed you from your oppression in Egypt.
Ich bringe euch in das Land, das ich Abraham, Isaak und Jakob mit einem Eid versprochen habe. Ich will es euch schenken, denn ich bin der HERR!«
I will bring you into the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I will give it to you as your very own possession. I am the LORD!’”
Mose berichtete den Israeliten, was Gott zu ihm gesagt hatte, aber sie hörten nicht auf ihn. Sie waren erschöpft von der schweren Arbeit. Ihr Mut war gebrochen, ihre Hoffnung erloschen.
So Moses told the people of Israel what the LORD had said, but they refused to listen anymore. They had become too discouraged by the brutality of their slavery.

“Go back to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and tell him to let the people of Israel leave his country.”
»Ach, HERR«, wandte Mose ein, »wenn mir schon die Israeliten nicht geglaubt haben, wie sollte dann der Pharao auf mich hören? Ich bin einfach ein zu schlechter Redner!«
Doch der HERR sprach erneut mit Mose und Aaron und beauftragte sie, noch einmal mit den Israeliten und dem ägyptischen König zu reden; denn sie sollten das Volk Israel aus Ägypten herausführen.
But the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and gave them orders for the Israelites and for Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. The LORD commanded Moses and Aaron to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt.

The sons of Reuben, Israel’s oldest son, were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. Their descendants became the clans of Reuben.

The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar, and Shaul. (Shaul’s mother was a Canaanite woman.) Their descendants became the clans of Simeon.
Die Söhne von Levi — in der Reihenfolge ihrer Geburt — waren: Gerschon, Kehat und Merari. Ihr Vater Levi wurde 137 Jahre alt.
These are the descendants of Levi, as listed in their family records: The sons of Levi were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. (Levi lived to be 137 years old.)
Gerschon hatte zwei Söhne: Libni und Schimi; von ihnen stammen die gleichnamigen Sippen ab.
The descendants of Gershon included Libni and Shimei, each of whom became the ancestor of a clan.
Kehats Söhne hießen Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Usiël. Kehat wurde 133 Jahre alt.
