Hoffnung für Alle
Wer hat den Mann aus dem Osten berufen, um für Gerechtigkeit einzutreten? Wer verhilft ihm zum Sieg über ganze Völker? Wer lässt ihn Könige stürzen, sie mit seinen Waffen bezwingen und wie Staub und Spreu durch die Luft wirbeln?

Wer hat den Gerechten vom Aufgange erweckt? Wer rief ihn, daß er ging? Wer gab die Heiden und Könige vor ihm dahin, daß er ihrer mächtig ward, und gab sie seinem Schwert wie Staub und seinem Bogen wie zerstreute Stoppeln,

Wer hat vom Aufgang der Sonne den erweckt, dem Gerechtigkeit folgt auf seinen Schritten? Wer gibt ihm die Nationen preis und unterwirft ihm die Könige? Sein Schwert macht sie zu Staub, sein Bogen macht sie zu Spreu, die verweht.
