Hoffnung für Alle
Die ganze Statue brach in sich zusammen; Ton, Eisen, Bronze, Silber und Gold zerfielen zu Staub, den der Wind wegblies wie die Spreu von einem Dreschplatz. Nichts war mehr davon zu sehen! Der Stein aber, der die Statue zertrümmert hatte, wuchs zu einem riesigen Berg und breitete sich über die ganze Erde aus.

Da wurden miteinander zermalmt das Eisen, Ton, Erz, Silber und Gold und wurden wie Spreu auf der Sommertenne, und der Wind verwehte sie, daß man sie nirgends mehr finden konnte. Der Stein aber, der das Bild schlug, ward ein großer Berg, daß er die ganze Welt füllte.

Da wurden Eisen und Ton, Bronze, Silber und Gold mit einem Mal zu Staub. Sie wurden wie Spreu auf dem Dreschplatz im Sommer. Der Wind trug sie fort und keine Spur war mehr von ihnen zu finden. Der Stein aber, der das Standbild getroffen hatte, wurde zu einem großen Berg und erfüllte die ganze Erde.
