Die weiß gestreiften Stäbe stellte er in die Tränkrinnen, so dass die Tiere sie vor sich sahen, wenn sie zum Trinken kamen. Dies war nämlich der Ort, an dem sie sich paarten;

Die geschälten Ruten legte er in die Tröge, in die Wasserrinnen, zu denen die Tiere zur Tränke kamen, gerade vor die Tiere hin. Die Tiere begatteten sich, wenn sie zur Tränke kamen.
