Und es begab sich darnach, daß David die Philister schlug und schwächte sie und nahm den Dienstzaum von der Philister Hand.

Einige Zeit später griff David mit seinem Heer die Philister an. Er brachte ihnen eine beschämende Niederlage bei und machte ihrer Vorherrschaft im Gebiet Israels ein Ende.

Hernach schlug David die Philister. Er unterwarf sie und nahm ihnen die Zügel der Herrschaft aus der Hand.
