Daß du nicht einen Bund mit des Landes Einwohnern machest, und wenn sie ihren Göttern nachlaufen und opfern ihren Göttern, sie dich nicht laden und du von ihrem Opfer essest,

Schließt niemals einen Bund mit den Bewohnern des Landes! Denn sie haben sich ihren Götzen an den Hals geworfen und bringen ihnen Opfer dar. Sie könnten euch einladen, an ihren Opfermahlzeiten teilzunehmen.

Hüte dich, einen Bund mit den Bewohnern des Landes zu schließen! Sonst werden sie dich einladen, wenn sie mit ihren Göttern Unzucht treiben und ihren Göttern Schlachtopfer darbringen, und du wirst von ihren Schlachtopfern essen.
