Und es wird geschehen zu der Zeit, daß die Wurzel Isai, die da steht zum Panier den Völkern, nach der werden die Heiden fragen; und seine Ruhe wird Ehre sein.

In dieser Zeit ist der Trieb, der aus der Wurzel Davids hervorsprießt, als Zeichen für die Völker sichtbar. Sie werden nach ihm fragen, und der Ort, an dem er wohnt, wird herrlich sein.

An jenem Tag wird es der Spross aus der Wurzel Isais sein, der dasteht als Feldzeichen für die Völker; die Nationen werden nach ihm fragen und seine Ruhe wird herrlich sein.
