Denn Hesbon ist ein wüstes Feld geworden; der Weinstock zu Sibma ist verderbt; die Herren unter den Heiden haben seine edlen Reben zerschlagen, die da reichten bis gen Jaser und sich zogen in die Wüste; ihre Schößlinge sind zerstreut und über das Meer geführt.

Die Terrassenfelder von Heschbon sind verdorrt, vertrocknet sind die Weinstöcke von Sibma, deren Wein die Herrscher der Völker berauschte. Ihre Ranken erstreckten sich bis Jaser, sie reichten bis in die Wüste und hinunter zum Toten Meer.

Denn die Pflanzungen von Heschbon sind verwelkt, die Weinstöcke von Sibma. Die Herren der Nationen zerschlugen seine Reben, die bis Jaser reichten, bis in die Wüste sich verloren, seine Ranken breiteten sich aus, sie zogen sich hin bis zum Meer.
