Darum frißt der Fluch das Land; denn sie verschulden’s, die darin wohnen. Darum verdorren die Einwohner des Landes, also daß wenig Leute übrigbleiben.

Darum trifft sein Fluch die Erde und zehrt sie aus. Die Menschen müssen ihre gerechte Strafe tragen. Sie schwinden dahin, nur ein kleiner Rest wird überleben.

Darum hat ein Fluch die Erde gefressen, und die auf ihr wohnen, mussten es büßen. Die Bewohner der Erde nahmen ab, von Menschen bleibt nur ein geringer Rest.
