Dein Trotz und deines Herzens Hochmut hat dich betrogen, weil du in Felsenklüften wohnst und hohe Gebirge innehast. Wenn du denn gleich dein Nest so hoch machtest wie der Adler, dennoch will ich dich von dort herunterstürzen, spricht der HERR.

Durch eure furchterregende Macht und euren Stolz habt ihr euch selbst betrogen. In unzugänglichen Felsklüften wohnt ihr und beherrscht das ganze Gebirge. Doch selbst wenn ihr euer Nest so hoch baut wie ein Adler, stoße ich euch hinab in die Tiefe! Darauf gebe ich, der HERR, mein Wort!

Deine Furcht erregende Macht hat dich betört, der Hochmut deines Herzens, weil du in Felsklüften wohnst, an Bergeshöhen dich festhältst. Baust du dein Nest auch hoch wie der Geier, ich stürze dich von dort hinab — Spruch des HERRN.
