Vor ihm her geht ein verzehrend Feuer und nach ihm eine brennende Flamme. Das Land ist vor ihm wie ein Lustgarten, aber nach ihm wie eine wüste Einöde, und niemand wird ihm entgehen.

Feuer lodert vor diesen Truppen her, und wenn sie weg sind, steht alles in Flammen. Bevor sie über das Land herfallen, ist es ein blühendes Paradies, doch kaum sind sie hindurchgezogen, bleibt nur noch eine trostlose Wüste zurück. Es gibt kein Entrinnen vor ihnen!

Vor ihm her fressendes Feuer, hinter ihm lodernde Flammen; vor ihm ist das Land wie der Garten Eden, hinter ihm schaurige Wüste — da gibt es keine Rettung.
