Ist er aber zu arm zu solcher Schätzung, so soll er sich vor den Priester stellen, und der Priester soll ihn schätzen; er soll ihn aber schätzen, nach dem die Hand des, der gelobt hat, erwerben kann.

Kann derjenige, der das Gelübde abgelegt hat, den festgesetzten Betrag nicht aufbringen, soll er zum Priester gehen. Dieser legt einen Schätzwert für die betreffende Person fest und soll sich dabei nach dem richten, was der Mann bezahlen kann.

Ist derjenige, der das Gelübde gemacht hat, nicht in der Lage, den Richtwert zu bezahlen, dann soll er die Person dem Priester vorstellen. Dieser soll den Richtwert nach Maßgabe dessen, was der Gelobende aufbringen kann, feststellen.
