Der HERR Zebaoth wird sie schützen, daß sie um sich fressen und unter sich treten die Schleudersteine, daß sie trinken und lärmen wie vom Wein und voll werden wie das Becken und wie die Ecken des Altars.

Der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, verteidigt die Israeliten. Seine Krieger strecken die Feinde mit ihren Steinschleudern zu Boden. Sie sind vom Blut berauscht wie vom Wein, ja, sie sind damit überströmt wie die Opferschalen im Tempel oder wie die Ecken des Altars.

Der HERR der Heerscharen beschirmt sie: Die Schleudersteine fressen und zermalmen. Sie trinken und lärmen wie beim Wein und sie sind voll wie eine Opferschale, wie die Ecken eines Altars.
