Und wenn ihr ein Blindes opfert, so muß es nicht böse heißen; und wenn ihr ein Lahmes oder Krankes opfert, so muß es auch nicht böse heißen. Bringe es deinem Fürsten! was gilt’s, ob du ihm gefallen werdest, oder ob er deine Person ansehen werde? spricht der HERR Zebaoth.

Wenn ihr mir als Opfer ein blindes Tier darbringt, denkt ihr: ›Das ist nicht so schlimm!‹ Und wenn es ein lahmes oder krankes ist, meint ihr: ›Das macht nichts!‹ Bietet ein solches Tier doch einmal eurem Statthalter an! Ich, der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, frage euch: Glaubt ihr wirklich, er würde zufrieden mit euch sein und die Gabe freundlich annehmen?

Wenn ihr ein blindes Tier als Schlachtopfer darbringt, sei das nicht schlecht! Und wenn ihr ein lahmes und krankes Tier darbringt, sei das nicht schlecht! Biete das einmal deinem Statthalter an! Ob er wohl Gefallen an dir hat oder dich freundlich ansieht?, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen.
