Da erfuhr viel Volks der Juden, daß er daselbst war; und sie kamen nicht um Jesu willen allein, sondern daß sie auch Lazarus sähen, welchen er von den Toten erweckt hatte.

Als sich herumgesprochen hatte, wo Jesus war, liefen viele Menschen nach Betanien. Sie kamen nicht nur, um Jesus zu sehen, sondern auch wegen Lazarus, den Jesus von den Toten auferweckt hatte.

Eine große Menge der Juden hatte erfahren, dass Jesus dort war, und sie kamen, jedoch nicht nur um Jesu willen, sondern auch um Lazarus zu sehen, den er von den Toten auferweckt hatte.
