So gebt nun her die Männer, die bösen Buben zu Gibea, daß wir sie töten und das Übel aus Israel tun! Aber die Kinder Benjamin wollten nicht gehorchen der Stimme ihrer Brüder, der Kinder Israel;

Liefert uns die Männer von Gibea aus. Wir werden diese skrupellosen Kerle töten. Eine solche Schandtat darf in Israel nicht geduldet werden!« Doch dazu waren die Benjaminiter nicht bereit.

Gebt uns also das üble Gesindel von Gibea heraus, wir wollen es töten und wollen das Böse aus Israel austilgen. Doch die Benjaminiter wollten nicht auf die Stimme ihrer Brüder, der Israeliten, hören.

Now therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel:

But the Benjamites would not listen to their fellow Israelites. -
