Fluchet der Stadt Meros, sprach der Engel des HERRN; fluchet ihren Bürgern, daß sie nicht kamen dem HERRN zu Hilfe, zu Hilfe dem HERRN unter den Helden!

»Verflucht sei die Stadt Meros!«, rief der Engel des HERRN. Ja, Unheil soll ihre Bewohner treffen! Denn sie kamen dem HERRN nicht zu Hilfe, sie standen den Soldaten Israels nicht bei.

Ihr sollt Meros verfluchen, spricht der Engel des HERRN. Mit Flüchen flucht seinen Bewohnern; denn sie kamen dem HERRN nicht zu Hilfe, zu Hilfe dem HERRN unter den Helden.
