They turn, but not upward,
They are like a deceitful bow;
Their princes will fall by the sword
Because of the insolence of their tongue.
This will be their derision in the land of Egypt.

because of their insolent words.
For this they will be ridiculed
in the land of Egypt. -

Kehren sie um, so doch nicht nach oben zu mir; sie sind wie ein Bogen, der versagt. Ihre Regierenden kommen um durch das Schwert wegen ihrer unverständlichen Rede — so spottet man über sie — in Ägypten.
