daß mich die Wasserflut nicht ersäufe und die Tiefe nicht verschlinge und das Loch der Grube nicht über mir zusammengehe.

sonst schlagen die Fluten über mir zusammen, und der Strudel reißt mich in die Tiefe. Hol mich heraus, sonst verschlingt mich der Abgrund!

damit die Wasserflut mich nicht fortreißt, mich nicht verschlingt der Abgrund, der Brunnenschacht nicht über mir seinen Rachen schließt!
