Von diesen machte er 70 000 zu Lastträgern, 80 000 zu Steinhauern im Gebirge und 3 600 zu Aufsehern, die das Volk zur Arbeit anhalten sollten.

Salomo verpflichtete 80.000 von ihnen zur Arbeit im Steinbruch in den Bergen und 70.000 als Träger für den Transport der Steinblöcke. Die restlichen 3600 Mann sollten als Aufseher die Fronarbeiter zur Arbeit anhalten.
