Verschaff mir Recht, Gott, und führe meinen Rechtsstreit gegen ein treuloses Volk! Rette mich vor den bösen und tückischen Menschen!
For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Denn du bist der Gott meiner Zuflucht. Warum hast du mich verstoßen? Warum muss ich trauernd umhergehn, vom Feind unterdrückt?
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Sende dein Licht und deine Wahrheit; sie sollen mich leiten; sie sollen mich bringen zu deinem heiligen Berg und zu deinen Wohnungen.
Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
So will ich kommen zu Gottes Altar, zum Gott meiner Freude und meines Jubels. Ich will dir danken zur Leier, Gott, du mein Gott.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
