Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Groß ist der HERR! Lobt ihn in Jerusalem, der Stadt unseres Gottes, auf seinem heiligen Berg!
God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
Der Berg Zion ragt im Norden auf — er ist voll Schönheit und Pracht. Die Stadt des großen Königs erfreut die ganze Welt.

Das alles haben wir früher nur gehört, doch nun erleben wir es selbst: Gott ist der allmächtige HERR, an Jerusalem sehen wir seine Größe. Durch ihn wird die Stadt auf ewig bestehen.
According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
In deinem Tempel, o Gott, denken wir über deine Güte nach.
Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
In jedem Land kennt man deinen Namen, dein Ruhm reicht bis ans Ende der Welt. Du sorgst für Recht und Gerechtigkeit,
Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.
darum herrscht Freude auf dem Berg Zion. Ja, was du beschließt, das ist gerecht, darum jubelt man dir in den Städten Judas zu.
Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.
Wandert um den Berg Zion, geht rings um die Stadt und zählt ihre Festungstürme!
