Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.
Du Hirte Israels, höre, der du Josef leitest wie eine Herde! Der du auf den Kerubim thronst, erscheine
Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
vor Efraim, Benjamin und Manasse! Wecke deine gewaltige Kraft und komm zu unserer Rettung!
O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
Gott, stelle uns wieder her! Lass dein Angesicht leuchten und wir sind gerettet!
Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
HERR, Gott der Heerscharen, wie lange noch raucht dein Zorn trotz des Bittgebets deines Volks?
Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
Du hast sie gespeist mit Tränenbrot, sie überreich getränkt mit Tränen.
Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Du machst uns zum Zankapfel unserer Nachbarn und unsere Feinde verspotten uns.
Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Gott der Heerscharen, stelle uns wieder her! Lass dein Angesicht leuchten und wir sind gerettet!
Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
Einen Weinstock hobst du aus in Ägypten, du hast Völker vertrieben und ihn eingepflanzt.
The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
Du schufst ihm weiten Raum, er hat Wurzeln geschlagen und das ganze Land erfüllt.
She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
Sein Schatten bedeckte die Berge, seine Zweige die Zedern Gottes.
Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
Seine Ranken trieb er bis zum Meer und seine Schösslinge bis zum Eufrat!
The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
Warum rissest du seine Mauern ein? Alle, die des Weges kommen, plündern ihn.
Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
Der Eber aus dem Wald wühlt ihn um, es fressen ihn ab die Tiere des Feldes.
And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
Gott der Heerscharen, kehre doch zurück, blicke vom Himmel herab und sieh, sorge für diesen Weinstock!
It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
Beschütze, was deine Rechte gepflanzt hat, und den Sohn, den du dir stark gemacht!
Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
Die ihn im Feuer verbrannten wie Kehricht, sie sollen vergehen vor deinem drohenden Angesicht.
So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.
Deine Hand sei über dem Mann zu deiner Rechten, über dem Menschensohn, den du dir stark gemacht.
