Ein Psalmlied der Kinder Korah, vorzusingen, von der Schwachheit der Elenden. Eine Unterweisung Hemans, des Esrahiten.
Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;
HERR, Gott, mein Heiland, ich schreie Tag und Nacht vor dir.
For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.
(Laß mein Gebet vor dich kommen; neige deine Ohren zu meinem Geschrei.
I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:
(Denn meine Seele ist voll Jammers, und mein Leben ist nahe am Tode.
Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.
(Ich bin geachtet gleich denen, die in die Grube fahren; ich bin ein Mann, der keine Hilfe hat.
Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.
(Ich liege unter den Toten verlassen wie die Erschlagenen, die im Grabe liegen, deren du nicht mehr gedenkst und die von deiner Hand abgesondert sind.
Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.
(Du hast mich in die Grube hinuntergelegt, in die Finsternis und in die Tiefe.
Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
(Dein Grimm drückt mich; du drängst mich mit allen deinen Fluten. (Sela.)
Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
(Meine Freunde hast du ferne von mir getan; du hast mich ihnen zum Greuel gemacht. Ich liege gefangen und kann nicht herauskommen.
Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.
Meine Gestalt ist jämmerlich vor Elend. HERR, ich rufe dich an täglich; ich breite meine Hände aus zu dir.
Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?
Wirst du denn unter den Toten Wunder tun, oder werden die Verstorbenen aufstehen und dir danken? (Sela.)
Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
Wird man in Gräbern erzählen deine Güte, und deine Treue im Verderben?
But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.
Mögen denn deine Wunder in der Finsternis erkannt werden oder deine Gerechtigkeit in dem Lande, da man nichts gedenkt?
LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?
Aber ich schreie zu dir, HERR, und mein Gebet kommt frühe vor dich.
I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.
Warum verstößest du, HERR, meine Seele und verbirgst dein Antlitz vor mir?
Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.
Ich bin elend und ohnmächtig, daß ich so verstoßen bin; ich leide deine Schrecken, daß ich schier verzage.
They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.
Dein Grimm geht über mich; dein Schrecken drückt mich.
