Prophecy against the Shepherds of Israel
Then the word of the LORD came to me saying,
Then the word of the LORD came to me saying,
Wieder empfing ich eine Botschaft vom HERRN. Er forderte mich auf:
“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to those shepherds, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock?
»Du Mensch, richte den führenden Männern von Israel diese Worte aus! So spricht Gott, der HERR: Wehe euch, ihr Führer Israels! Ihr solltet für mein Volk wie Hirten sein, die ihre Herde auf eine gute Weide führen. Aber ihr sorgt nur für euch selbst.
“You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat sheep without feeding the flock.
Die Milch der Schafe trinkt ihr, aus ihrer Wolle webt ihr euch Kleidung, und die fetten Tiere schlachtet ihr. Aber um eure Herde kümmert ihr euch nicht!
“Those who are sickly you have not strengthened, the diseased you have not healed, the broken you have not bound up, the scattered you have not brought back, nor have you sought for the lost; but with force and with severity you have dominated them.
Den schwachen Tieren helft ihr nicht, die kranken pflegt ihr nicht gesund; wenn sich ein Tier ein Bein bricht, verbindet ihr es nicht. Hat sich ein Schaf von der Herde entfernt, holt ihr es nicht zurück; und wenn eines verloren gegangen ist, macht ihr euch nicht auf die Suche. Stattdessen herrscht ihr mit Härte und Gewalt.
“They were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became food for every beast of the field and were scattered.
Weil die Schafe keinen Hirten hatten, liefen sie auseinander und wurden von wilden Tieren zerrissen.
“My flock wandered through all the mountains and on every high hill; My flock was scattered over all the surface of the earth, and there was no one to search or seek for them.”’”
Viele irrten auf den Bergen und Hügeln umher. Nun sind meine Schafe über das ganze Land verstreut, niemand sucht nach ihnen und kümmert sich um sie.
“As I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “surely because My flock has become a prey, My flock has even become food for all the beasts of the field for lack of a shepherd, and My shepherds did not search for My flock, but rather the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock;
Ich, Gott, der HERR, schwöre, so wahr ich lebe: Jetzt ist Schluss damit! Meine Schafe wurden geraubt und von wilden Tieren zerrissen, weil kein Hirte für sie sorgte. Anstatt euch um die Herde zu kümmern, habt ihr nur an euch selbst gedacht.
therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:
Darum lasst es euch gesagt sein, ihr Hirten:
‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand My sheep from them and make them cease from feeding sheep. So the shepherds will not feed themselves anymore, but I will deliver My flock from their mouth, so that they will not be food for them.”’”
Ihr bekommt es mit mir zu tun! Ich ziehe euch zur Rechenschaft für alles, was ihr meinen Schafen angetan habt. Ihr sollt nicht länger ihre Hirten sein. Ich lasse nicht mehr zu, dass ihr nur für euch selbst sorgt; ich rette die Schafe aus euren Klauen, damit ihr sie nicht mehr auffressen könnt!«
The Restoration of Israel
For thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.
Denn so spricht Gott, der HERR: »Von nun an will ich mich selbst um meine Schafe kümmern und für sie sorgen.
“As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day.
Wie ein Hirte seine Herde zusammenbringt, die sich in alle Richtungen zerstreut hat, so werde auch ich meine Schafe wieder sammeln. Ich rette sie aus all den Orten, wohin sie an jenem dunklen, schrecklichen Tag vertrieben wurden.
“I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and bring them to their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the inhabited places of the land.
Aus fremden Völkern und Ländern führe ich sie heraus und bringe sie wieder in ihr Land. Dort lasse ich sie weiden, in den Bergen, an den Flüssen und in den Tälern.
“I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel. There they will lie down on good grazing ground and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.
Ja, ich gebe ihnen gute und saftige Weideplätze auf Israels hohen Bergen, wo sie sich lagern und satt fressen können.
“I will feed My flock and I will lead them to rest,” declares the Lord GOD.
Ich selbst werde ihr Hirte sein und dafür sorgen, dass sie in Ruhe und Sicherheit leben können. Das verspreche ich, Gott, der HERR.
“I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with judgment.
Ich suche die verloren gegangenen Schafe und bringe alle zurück, die sich von der Herde entfernt haben. Wenn sich eines der Tiere ein Bein gebrochen hat, will ich es verbinden, und den kranken helfe ich wieder auf. Die fetten und starken Tiere aber lasse ich nicht aus den Augen! Denn ich bin ein Hirte, der gut und gerecht mit seinen Schafen umgeht.
“As for you, My flock, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Behold, I will judge between one sheep and another, between the rams and the male goats.
Ihr Israeliten — ihr seid meine Herde, und ihr sollt wissen: Von nun an will ich selbst, Gott, der HERR, bei euch für Recht sorgen. Ich nehme die Schafe voreinander in Schutz und weise die starken Widder und Böcke zurecht:
‘Is it too slight a thing for you that you should feed in the good pasture, that you must tread down with your feet the rest of your pastures? Or that you should drink of the clear waters, that you must foul the rest with your feet?
Ist es euch noch nicht genug, dass ihr die guten Weideplätze abgrast und als Erste das klare Wasser trinkt? Müsst ihr auch noch den Rest der Wiese zertrampeln und im Wasser mit euren Hufen den Schlamm aufwühlen?
‘As for My flock, they must eat what you tread down with your feet and drink what you foul with your feet!’”
Sollen meine Schafe etwa das Gras fressen, das ihr zertrampelt habt? Sollen sie von dem verschmutzten Wasser trinken?
Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD to them, “Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.
Ihr werdet sehen: Ich, Gott, der HERR, bin ein gerechter Hirte, ich richte zwischen euch fetten und den mageren Schafen.
“Because you push with side and with shoulder, and thrust at all the weak with your horns until you have scattered them abroad,
Ihr habt die Schwachen mit euren Schultern von der Weide gedrängt, sie mit euren Hörnern gestoßen und von der Herde vertrieben.
therefore, I will deliver My flock, and they will no longer be a prey; and I will judge between one sheep and another.
Doch ich rette meine Schafe vor euch und eurer rohen Gewalt. Jedem Einzelnen verhelfe ich zu seinem Recht.«
“Then I will set over them one shepherd, My servant David, and he will feed them; he will feed them himself and be their shepherd.
»Ich will meiner Herde einen einzigen Hirten geben: einen Nachkommen von König David, der mir einst gedient hat. Er wird sie auf die Weide führen und für sie sorgen.
“And I, the LORD, will be their God, and My servant David will be prince among them; I the LORD have spoken.
Ich, der HERR, werde ihr Gott sein, und dieser neue David wird mitten unter ihnen leben und ihr König sein. Darauf gebe ich, der HERR, mein Wort.
“I will make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful beasts from the land so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
Ja, ich verspreche: Ich schließe einen Bund mit den Israeliten und gewähre ihnen meinen Frieden. Die Raubtiere verjage ich aus dem Land; dann können die Menschen sogar ohne Angst in der Wüste leben und in den Wäldern schlafen.
“I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of blessing.
Ich segne sie und das ganze Land rund um meinen heiligen Berg. Zur rechten Zeit lasse ich heilsamen Regen fallen,
“Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit and the earth will yield its increase, and they will be secure on their land. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them.
damit die Bäume viele Früchte tragen und die Felder reichen Ertrag bringen. Ja, mein Volk wird vollkommen sicher in seinem Land wohnen. Ich zerbreche das harte Joch, das auf ihnen lastet, und rette sie aus der Gewalt ihrer Feinde, die sie jetzt noch versklaven. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
“They will no longer be a prey to the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not devour them; but they will live securely, and no one will make them afraid.
Für andere Völker sollen sie keine Beute mehr sein, und die wilden Tiere werden sie nicht mehr zerreißen. Sie wohnen in Ruhe und Sicherheit und brauchen nicht zu befürchten, dass sie jemand aufschreckt.
“I will establish for them a renowned planting place, and they will not again be victims of famine in the land, and they will not endure the insults of the nations anymore.
Ihr Land mache ich zu einem fruchtbaren Garten, der weithin berühmt ist. Sie müssen nicht länger hungern, und kein feindliches Volk wird sie verspotten.
“Then they will know that I, the LORD their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people,” declares the Lord GOD.
Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich, der HERR, ihr Gott, ihnen beistehe und dass sie, die Israeliten, mein Volk sind. Mein Wort gilt!
