“Speak to Aaron and to his sons and to all the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘This is what the LORD has commanded, saying,
»Gib die folgenden Anweisungen an Aaron, seine Söhne und das ganze Volk weiter:
“Any man from the house of Israel who slaughters an ox or a lamb or a goat in the camp, or who slaughters it outside the camp,
Jeder Israelit, der mir, dem HERRN, ein Rind, ein Schaf oder eine Ziege als Gabe darbringen möchte, soll das Tier am Eingang des heiligen Zeltes schlachten. Wer es stattdessen irgendwo innerhalb oder außerhalb des Lagers tut, der ist nicht besser als ein Mörder und lädt große Schuld auf sich. Er hat unerlaubt Blut vergossen und darum sein Leben verwirkt. Er muss aus dem Volk ausgeschlossen werden.
“The reason is so that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing in the open field, that they may bring them in to the LORD, at the doorway of the tent of meeting to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to the LORD.
Diese Weisung dient dazu, dass die Israeliten ihre Opfertiere, die sie bis jetzt auf freiem Feld geschlachtet haben, von nun an mir, dem HERRN, darbringen. Sie sollen die Tiere zu meiner Ehre am Eingang des heiligen Zeltes dem Priester übergeben und sie dann als Friedensopfer für mich schlachten.
“The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the LORD at the doorway of the tent of meeting, and offer up the fat in smoke as a soothing aroma to the LORD.
Der Priester sprengt das Blut an den Brandopferaltar vor dem Eingang des heiligen Zeltes und verbrennt anschließend die Fettstücke auf dem Altar. Solch ein wohlriechendes Opfer gefällt mir, dem HERRN.
“They shall no longer sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat demons with which they play the harlot. This shall be a permanent statute to them throughout their generations.”’
Kein Israelit soll mir die Treue brechen, indem er weiterhin den Dämonen sein Schlachtopfer darbringt! Diese Ordnung gilt für alle Zeiten.
“Then you shall say to them, ‘Any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,
Jeder Israelit und auch jeder Fremde, der bei euch wohnt, muss aus dem Volk ausgeschlossen werden und sterben, wenn er seine Brand- oder Schlachtopfer nicht zum Eingang des heiligen Zeltes führt, um sie dort mir, dem HERRN, zu weihen.«
‘And any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people.
»Wenn ein Israelit oder ein Fremder unter euch Fleisch verzehrt, das nicht völlig ausgeblutet ist, werde ich, der Herr, mich gegen ihn wenden! Ich selbst verstoße ihn aus seinem Volk und töte ihn.
‘For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’
Denn im Blut ist das Leben, und ich habe angeordnet, dass es auf dem Altar dargebracht wird, um euch von eurer Schuld zu befreien. Weil im Blut das Leben ist, darum werdet ihr durch das Blut mit mir, dem Herrn, versöhnt.
“Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, ‘No person among you may eat blood, nor may any alien who sojourns among you eat blood.’
Niemand darf es also verzehren, weder ein Israelit noch ein Ausländer, der bei euch lebt!
“So when any man from the sons of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, in hunting catches a beast or a bird which may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth.
Wer auf der Jagd ein Stück Wild oder einen Vogel erlegt — ein Tier, das man essen darf —, der soll es ausbluten lassen und das Blut mit Erde bedecken.
“For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, ‘You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’
Denn im Blut ist das Leben eines jeden Tieres. Deshalb habe ich euch verboten, Blut zu verzehren. Alles Leben ist im Blut, und wer davon isst, muss getötet werden!
“When any person eats an animal which dies or is torn by beasts, whether he is a native or an alien, he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and remain unclean until evening; then he will become clean.
Jeder, der Fleisch von einem verendeten oder gerissenen Tier isst, wird dadurch unrein. Er soll sich und seine Kleider waschen und bis zum Abend warten; dann ist er wieder rein.
