Du sollst dich nicht vor ihnen niederwerfen und ihnen nicht dienen. Denn ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, ein eifersüchtiger Gott: Ich suche die Schuld der Väter an den Kindern heim, an der dritten und vierten Generation, bei denen, die mich hassen;
but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
Der siebte Tag ist ein Ruhetag, dem HERRN, deinem Gott, geweiht. An ihm darfst du keine Arbeit tun: du und dein Sohn und deine Tochter, dein Sklave und deine Sklavin und dein Vieh und dein Fremder in deinen Toren.

Denn in sechs Tagen hat der HERR Himmel, Erde und Meer gemacht und alles, was dazugehört; am siebten Tag ruhte er. Darum hat der HERR den Sabbat gesegnet und ihn geheiligt.
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
Ehre deinen Vater und deine Mutter, damit du lange lebst in dem Land, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir gibt!
“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Du sollst nicht falsch gegen deinen Nächsten aussagen.
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”
Du sollst nicht das Haus deines Nächsten begehren. Du sollst nicht die Frau deines Nächsten begehren, nicht seinen Sklaven oder seine Sklavin, sein Rind oder seinen Esel oder irgendetwas, das deinem Nächsten gehört.
The People Afraid of God’s Presence

Das ganze Volk erlebte, wie es donnerte und blitzte, wie Hörner erklangen und der Berg rauchte. Da bekam das Volk Angst, es zitterte und hielt sich in der Ferne.
Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”

And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.”

So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.

Ihr sollt euch neben mir nichts machen. Weder Götter aus Silber noch Götter aus Gold sollt ihr euch machen.
Du sollst mir einen Altar aus Erde machen und darauf deine Brandopfer und Heilsopfer, deine Schafe, Ziegen und Rinder schlachten. An jedem Ort, an dem ich meinem Namen ein Gedächtnis stifte, will ich zu dir kommen und dich segnen.
And if you make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone; for if you use your tool on it, you have profaned it.
Wenn du mir einen Altar aus Steinen machst, so sollst du ihn nicht aus behauenen Quadern bauen. Du entweihst ihn, wenn du mit einem Meißel daran arbeitest.
