Da gaben es die drei Männer auf, weiter mit Hiob zu reden, denn er hielt an seiner Unschuld fest.
Then Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite, of the clan of Ram, became angry. He was angry because Job refused to admit that he had sinned and that God was right in punishing him.
Doch der Busiter Elihu, der Sohn von Barachel aus der Sippe Ram, wurde von Zorn gepackt. Er war wütend auf Hiob, weil dieser meinte, gegenüber Gott im Recht zu sein.
Auch auf die drei Freunde war er zornig, weil sie auf Hiobs Anklagen keine Antwort mehr fanden, obwohl sie ihn ständig für schuldig erklärten.

for wisdom comes with age.’

Ich dachte: ›Lass erst die alten Männer sprechen, sie schöpfen aus reicher Erfahrung!‹
Doch auf den Geist im Menschen kommt es an, auf diese Gabe des Allmächtigen: Sie allein gibt ihm Weisheit!

Nein, nicht nur die Betagten sind weise; man muss nicht im vorgerückten Alter sein, um zu begreifen, was richtig ist.
So listen to me,

Und darum sage ich: Hört mir zu! Jetzt will ich euch zeigen, was ich weiß!
