Im Monat Abib sollt ihr das Passahfest für den HERRN, euren Gott, feiern! Denn in diesem Monat hat er euch nachts aus Ägypten befreit.
Your Passover sacrifice may be from either the flock or the herd, and it must be sacrificed to the LORD your God at the designated place of worship — the place he chooses for his name to be honored.
Kommt an den Ort, den der HERR erwählen wird, um dort zu wohnen! Bringt ihm Schafe, Ziegen oder Rinder als Passahopfer dar!
Eat it with bread made without yeast. For seven days the bread you eat must be made without yeast, as when you escaped from Egypt in such a hurry. Eat this bread — the bread of suffering — so that as long as you live you will remember the day you departed from Egypt.
Esst dazu Brot, das ohne Sauerteig gebacken wurde! Sieben Tage lang sollt ihr nur ungesäuertes Brot essen, so wie damals, als ihr in großer Eile aus Ägypten geflohen seid. Solange ihr lebt, soll euch dieses Brot daran erinnern, wie ihr in Ägypten Not leiden musstet und wie der Herr euch an jenem Tag befreit hat.
Let no yeast be found in any house throughout your land for those seven days. And when you sacrifice the Passover lamb on the evening of the first day, do not let any of the meat remain until the next morning.
In dieser Woche soll in eurem ganzen Land nirgendwo Sauerteig zu finden sein. Schlachtet das Passahopfer an dem Abend, mit dem der erste Festtag beginnt, und esst es vor dem nächsten Morgen auf. Ihr sollt nichts davon übrig lassen!
“You may not sacrifice the Passover in just any of the towns that the LORD your God is giving you.
Auch dürft ihr das Passahopfer nicht in jeder beliebigen Stadt darbringen,
You must offer it only at the designated place of worship — the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to be honored. Sacrifice it there in the evening as the sun goes down on the anniversary of your exodus from Egypt.
sondern nur an dem Ort, den der HERR für sich auswählen wird. Schlachtet das Tier bei Sonnenuntergang, wie damals, als ihr Ägypten verlassen habt.
Roast the lamb and eat it in the place the LORD your God chooses. Then you may go back to your tents the next morning.
Bereitet es zu und esst es beim Heiligtum des HERRN, eures Gottes! Am nächsten Tag könnt ihr wieder nach Hause gehen.
For the next six days you may not eat any bread made with yeast. On the seventh day proclaim another holy day in honor of the LORD your God, and no work may be done on that day.
An den sechs folgenden Tagen sollt ihr weiterhin nur ungesäuertes Brot essen. Am siebten Tag nach dem Passahfest lasst alle Arbeit ruhen und feiert zusammen ein Fest zur Ehre des HERRN, eures Gottes!
The Festival of Harvest
“Count off seven weeks from when you first begin to cut the grain at the time of harvest.
Sieben Wochen nach Beginn der Getreideernte
sollt ihr zur Ehre des HERRN, eures Gottes, das Wochenfest feiern. Opfert ihm, so viel ihr möchtet, je nachdem, wie reich er euch beschenkt hat!
This is a time to celebrate before the LORD your God at the designated place of worship he will choose for his name to be honored. Celebrate with your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, the Levites from your towns, and the foreigners, orphans, and widows who live among you.
Kommt dazu wieder an den Ort, den er auswählen wird, um dort zu wohnen. Feiert in der Gegenwart des HERRN ein fröhliches Fest, zusammen mit euren Söhnen und Töchtern, euren Sklaven und Sklavinnen, mit euren levitischen Nachbarn, mit den Ausländern und den Waisen und Witwen, die bei euch leben.
Remember that you were once slaves in Egypt, so be careful to obey all these decrees.
Denkt daran, dass auch ihr einmal Sklaven in Ägypten wart! Deshalb haltet euch genau an diese Ordnungen!
Wenn ihr im Herbst die Ernte eingebracht, das Korn gedroschen und die Weintrauben gepresst habt, dann feiert eine Woche lang das Laubhüttenfest!
This festival will be a happy time of celebrating with your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows from your towns.
Es soll ein fröhliches Fest werden. Feiert es zusammen mit euren Kindern und euren Sklaven, mit den Leviten und den Ausländern, den Witwen und Waisen aus eurer Stadt!
For seven days you must celebrate this festival to honor the LORD your God at the place he chooses, for it is he who blesses you with bountiful harvests and gives you success in all your work. This festival will be a time of great joy for all.
Kommt gemeinsam zum Heiligtum des HERRN, eures Gottes, und feiert sieben Tage lang zu seiner Ehre! Freut euch von Herzen, dass er eure Arbeit gesegnet und euch eine gute Ernte geschenkt hat.
“Each year every man in Israel must celebrate these three festivals: the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Harvest, and the Festival of Shelters. On each of these occasions, all men must appear before the LORD your God at the place he chooses, but they must not appear before the LORD without a gift for him.
Dreimal im Jahr sollen alle Männer Israels am Heiligtum des HERRN zusammenkommen: am Fest der ungesäuerten Brote, am Wochenfest und am Laubhüttenfest. Keiner von euch darf mit leeren Händen kommen!
All must give as they are able, according to the blessings given to them by the LORD your God.
Jeder soll so viel geben, wie er kann, je nachdem, wie reich der HERR ihn beschenkt hat.
Justice for the People
“Appoint judges and officials for yourselves from each of your tribes in all the towns the LORD your God is giving you. They must judge the people fairly.
Ernennt in euren Stammesgebieten Richter und Beamte, in allen Städten, die der HERR, euer Gott, euch gibt! Sie sollen in eurem Volk für Recht und Ordnung sorgen.
You must never twist justice or show partiality. Never accept a bribe, for bribes blind the eyes of the wise and corrupt the decisions of the godly.
Bei euch soll es gerecht zugehen, und niemand soll in einem Prozess bevorzugt werden. Nehmt auch keine Bestechungsgeschenke an. Denn solche Geschenke machen selbst weise Menschen blind und verleiten dazu, das Recht zu beugen.
Let true justice prevail, so you may live and occupy the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
Setzt euch vielmehr mit ganzer Kraft für die Gerechtigkeit ein! Dann werdet ihr am Leben bleiben und das Land behalten, das der HERR, euer Gott, euch gibt.
“You must never set up a wooden Asherah pole beside the altar you build for the LORD your God.
Stellt keine Pfähle für die Göttin Aschera oder andere Götzenstatuen aus Holz neben den Altar, den ihr für den HERRN, euren Gott, baut!
