Er erschlug an einem Tag in Juda hundertzwanzigtausend Mann, lauter tapfere Krieger, da sie den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter, verlassen hatten.

Denn Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, schlug in Juda 120,000 auf einen Tag, die alle streitbare Leute waren, darum daß sie den HERRN, ihrer Väter Gott, verließen.

An einem einzigen Tag fielen 120.000 erfahrene Soldaten von Juda. Dies alles geschah, weil das Volk dem HERRN, dem Gott seiner Vorfahren, den Rücken gekehrt hatte.
