Die Hohepriester nahmen die Silberstücke und sagten: Man darf das Geld nicht in den Tempelschatz tun; denn es klebt Blut daran.

Aber die Hohenpriester nahmen die Silberlinge und sprachen: Es taugt nicht, daß wir sie in den Gotteskasten legen; denn es ist Blutgeld.

Die obersten Priester nahmen die Münzen an sich, waren aber der Meinung: »Dieses Geld dürfen wir nicht in den Tempelschatz legen, weil Blut daran klebt!«
