They said, “It is a lie, tell us now.” And he said, “Thus and thus he said to me, ‘Thus says the LORD, “I have anointed you king over Israel.”’”

And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

Doch sie gaben sich nicht zufrieden: »Mach uns doch nichts vor! Was wollte er? Los, heraus mit der Sprache!« Schließlich berichtete Jehu, was der Mann ihm gesagt hatte und dass er ihn auf Befehl des HERRN zum König über Israel gesalbt hatte.

Doch sie sagten: Das sind Ausflüchte. Teil uns nur alles mit! Da gab er zu: So und so hat er zu mir gesagt: So spricht der HERR: Ich salbe dich zum König über Israel.
