Vernimm, Gott, mein Bittgebet, verbirg dich nicht vor meinem Flehen!
Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
Achte auf mich und erhöre mich! Klagend irre ich umher und bin verstört
Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
wegen des Geschreis des Feindes, unter dem Druck des Frevlers. Denn sie überhäufen mich mit Unheil und befehden mich voller Grimm.
My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
Mir bebt das Herz in der Brust; mich überfielen die Schrecken des Todes.
Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
Furcht und Zittern erfassten mich; ich schauderte vor Entsetzen.
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
Da dachte ich: Hätte ich doch Flügel wie eine Taube, dann flöge ich davon und käme zur Ruhe.
Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
Siehe, weit fort möchte ich fliehen, die Nacht verbringen in der Wüste. [Sela]
I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
An einen sicheren Ort möchte ich eilen vor dem Wetter, vor dem tobenden Sturm.
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
Entzweie sie, Herr, verwirr ihre Sprache! Denn in der Stadt habe ich Gewalttat und Hader gesehen.
Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
Auf ihren Mauern umschleicht man sie bei Tag und bei Nacht, sie ist voll Unheil und Mühsal.
Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
In ihrer Mitte herrscht Verderben, Betrug und Unterdrückung weichen nicht von ihren Märkten.
For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
Denn nicht ein Feind beschimpft mich, das könnte ich ertragen; nicht einer, der mich hasst, tritt groß gegen mich auf, vor ihm könnte ich mich verbergen.
But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
Nein, du bist es, ein Mensch mir gleich, mein Freund und mein Vertrauter.
We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
Wir haben unsere Vertrautheit genossen, wir gingen im Haus Gottes umher in wogender Menge.
Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
Der Tod soll sie überfallen, lebend sollen sie hinabfahren ins Totenreich! Denn Bosheit ist an ihren Orten, in ihrem Innern.
As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
Ich aber, zu Gott will ich rufen und der HERR wird mich retten.
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Am Abend, am Morgen und am Mittag seufze ich und stöhne, da hat er meine Stimme gehört,
He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
er hat mich befreit, mein Leben ist in Sicherheit vor denen, die gegen mich kämpfen. Denn unter vielen waren manche für mich!
God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
Gott hört und beugt die Feinde nieder, er, der thront von Urzeit an. [Sela] Denn sie ändern sich nicht und fürchten Gott nicht.
He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
Der Feind legte Hand an seine Getreuen, seinen Bund hat er entweiht.
The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
Glatt wie Butter waren seine Reden, doch in seinem Herzen sann er auf Streit, linder als Öl waren seine Worte und waren doch gezückte Schwerter.
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
