Dann werde ich am Erdkreis die Bosheit heimsuchen und an den Frevlern ihre Schuld. Dem Hochmut der Stolzen mache ich ein Ende und erniedrige die Hoheit der Tyrannen.

Ich will den Erdboden heimsuchen um seiner Bosheit willen und die Gottlosen um ihrer Untugend willen und will dem Hochmut der Stolzen ein Ende machen und die Hoffart der Gewaltigen demütigen,

Der Herr sagt: »Ich werde die ganze Welt zur Rechenschaft ziehen, weil sie voller Bosheit ist. Die Gottlosen erhalten dann die gerechte Strafe für ihre Schuld. Ich mache der Großtuerei aller hochmütigen Menschen ein Ende, ich breche den Stolz der grausamen Tyrannen.
