Ich horche hin und höre: Schlechtes reden sie, keiner bereut sein böses Tun und sagt: Was habe ich getan? Jeder wendet sich ab und läuft weg, schnell wie ein Ross, das im Kampf dahinstürmt.

Ich sehe und höre, daß sie nichts Rechtes reden. Keiner ist, dem seine Bosheit Leid wäre und der spräche: Was mache ich doch! Sie laufen alle ihren Lauf wie ein grimmiger Hengst im Streit.

Ich habe genau gehört, was sie reden: Die Wahrheit ist es nicht! Keiner bereut seine schlechten Taten und sagt: ›Was habe ich getan!‹ Alle rennen auf ihrem falschen Weg weiter wie Schlachtrosse, die in den Kampf stürmen.
