Wahrhaftig, ich habe kein Mitleid mehr mit den Bewohnern des Landes — Spruch des HERRN. Siehe, ich lasse jeden Menschen in die Hand seines Nächsten fallen und in die Hand seines Königs. Sie werden das Land zerschlagen, aber ich werde es nicht aus ihrer Hand retten.

Darum will ich auch nicht mehr schonen der Einwohner im Lande, spricht der HERR. Und siehe, ich will die Leute lassen einen jeglichen in der Hand des andern und in der Hand seines Königs, daß sie das Land zerschlagen, und will sie nicht erretten von ihrer Hand.

Ja, auch ich, der HERR, habe kein Erbarmen mehr mit den Bewohnern dieses Landes. Ich liefere jeden Einzelnen der Willkür seiner Mitmenschen und des Königs aus. Das ganze Land werden sie ins Unglück stürzen, und ich werde sie nicht daran hindern!«
