Das habe ich euch gesagt, damit ihr keinen Anstoß nehmt.
Jesus’ Warning
“These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling.
“These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling.
Sie werden euch aus der Synagoge ausstoßen, ja es kommt die Stunde, in der jeder, der euch tötet, meint, Gott einen heiligen Dienst zu leisten.
“They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God.
Das werden sie tun, weil sie weder den Vater noch mich erkannt haben.
“These things they will do because they have not known the Father or Me.
Ich habe es euch aber gesagt, damit ihr euch, wenn die Stunde kommt, daran erinnert, dass ich es euch gesagt habe. DIE DRITTE ABSCHIEDSREDE. DAS KOMMEN DES GEISTES UND NEUE BEGEGNUNG MIT JESUS: 16,4B–33 Das habe ich euch nicht gleich zu Anfang gesagt; denn ich war ja bei euch.
“But these things I have spoken to you, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. These things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.
Jetzt aber gehe ich zu dem, der mich gesandt hat, und keiner von euch fragt mich: Wohin gehst du?
The Holy Spirit Promised
“But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’
Vielmehr hat Trauer euer Herz erfüllt, weil ich euch das gesagt habe.
“But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
Doch ich sage euch die Wahrheit: Es ist gut für euch, dass ich fortgehe. Denn wenn ich nicht fortgehe, wird der Beistand nicht zu euch kommen; gehe ich aber, so werde ich ihn zu euch senden.
“But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
Und wenn er kommt, wird er die Welt der Sünde überführen und der Gerechtigkeit und des Gerichts;
“And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;
der Gerechtigkeit, weil ich zum Vater gehe und ihr mich nicht mehr seht;
and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me;
des Gerichts, weil der Herrscher dieser Welt gerichtet ist.
and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.
Noch vieles habe ich euch zu sagen, aber ihr könnt es jetzt nicht tragen.
“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
Wenn aber jener kommt, der Geist der Wahrheit, wird er euch in der ganzen Wahrheit leiten. Denn er wird nicht aus sich selbst heraus reden, sondern er wird reden, was er hört, und euch verkünden, was kommen wird.
“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
Er wird mich verherrlichen; denn er wird von dem, was mein ist, nehmen und es euch verkünden.
“He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.
Alles, was der Vater hat, ist mein; darum habe ich gesagt: Er nimmt von dem, was mein ist, und wird es euch verkünden.
“All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.
Noch eine kurze Zeit, dann seht ihr mich nicht mehr, und wieder eine kurze Zeit, dann werdet ihr mich sehen.
Jesus’ Death and Resurrection Foretold
“A little while, and you will no longer see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me.”
Da sagten einige von seinen Jüngern zueinander: Was meint er damit, wenn er zu uns sagt: Noch eine kurze Zeit, dann seht ihr mich nicht mehr, und wieder eine kurze Zeit, dann werdet ihr mich sehen? Und: Ich gehe zum Vater?
Some of His disciples then said to one another, “What is this thing He is telling us, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me’; and, ‘because I go to the Father’?”
Sie sagten: Was heißt das, wenn er sagt: eine kurze Zeit? Wir wissen nicht, wovon er redet.
So they were saying, “What is this that He says, ‘A little while’? We do not know what He is talking about.”
Jesus erkannte, dass sie ihn fragen wollten, und sagte zu ihnen: Ihr macht euch untereinander Gedanken darüber, dass ich euch gesagt habe: Noch eine kurze Zeit, dann seht ihr mich nicht mehr, und wieder eine kurze Zeit, dann werdet ihr mich sehen.
Jesus knew that they wished to question Him, and He said to them, “Are you deliberating together about this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me, and again a little while, and you will see Me’?
Amen, amen, ich sage euch: Ihr werdet weinen und klagen, aber die Welt wird sich freuen; ihr werdet traurig sein, aber eure Trauer wird sich in Freude verwandeln.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy.
Wenn die Frau gebären soll, hat sie Trauer, weil ihre Stunde gekommen ist; aber wenn sie das Kind geboren hat, denkt sie nicht mehr an ihre Not über der Freude, dass ein Mensch zur Welt gekommen ist.
“Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.
So habt auch ihr jetzt Trauer, aber ich werde euch wiedersehen; dann wird euer Herz sich freuen und niemand nimmt euch eure Freude.
“Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
An jenem Tag werdet ihr mich nichts mehr fragen. Amen, amen, ich sage euch: Was ihr den Vater in meinem Namen bitten werdet, das wird er euch geben.
Prayer Promises
“In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.
Bis jetzt habt ihr noch um nichts in meinem Namen gebeten. Bittet und ihr werdet empfangen, damit eure Freude vollkommen ist.
“Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.
Dies habe ich in Bildreden zu euch gesagt; es kommt die Stunde, in der ich nicht mehr in Bildreden zu euch sprechen, sondern euch offen vom Vater künden werde.
“These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; an hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but will tell you plainly of the Father.
An jenem Tag werdet ihr in meinem Namen bitten und ich sage euch nicht, dass ich den Vater für euch bitten werde;
“In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf;
denn der Vater selbst liebt euch, weil ihr mich geliebt und weil ihr geglaubt habt, dass ich von Gott ausgegangen bin.
for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father.
Ich bin vom Vater ausgegangen und in die Welt gekommen; ich verlasse die Welt wieder und gehe zum Vater.
“I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again and going to the Father.”
Da sagten seine Jünger: Siehe, jetzt redest du offen und sprichst nicht mehr in Bildreden.
His disciples said, “Lo, now You are speaking plainly and are not using a figure of speech.
Jetzt wissen wir, dass du alles weißt und von niemandem gefragt zu werden brauchst. Darum glauben wir, dass du von Gott ausgegangen bist.
“Now we know that You know all things, and have no need for anyone to question You; by this we believe that You came from God.”
Siehe, die Stunde kommt und sie ist schon da, in der ihr versprengt sein werdet, jeder in sein Haus, und mich alleinlassen werdet. Aber ich bin nicht allein, denn der Vater ist bei mir.
“Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
