Da lief sie schnell zu Simon Petrus und dem anderen Jünger, den Jesus liebte, und sagte zu ihnen: Sie haben den Herrn aus dem Grab weggenommen und wir wissen nicht, wohin sie ihn gelegt haben.
Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
Da gingen Petrus und der andere Jünger hinaus und kamen zum Grab;
Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
sie liefen beide zusammen, aber weil der andere Jünger schneller war als Petrus, kam er als Erster ans Grab.
So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
Er beugte sich vor und sah die Leinenbinden liegen, ging jedoch nicht hinein.
And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
und das Schweißtuch, das auf dem Haupt Jesu gelegen hatte; es lag aber nicht bei den Leinenbinden, sondern zusammengebunden daneben an einer besonderen Stelle.
And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
Da ging auch der andere Jünger, der als Erster an das Grab gekommen war, hinein; er sah und glaubte.
Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
Denn sie hatten noch nicht die Schrift verstanden, dass er von den Toten auferstehen müsse.
For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
Dann kehrten die Jünger wieder nach Hause zurück.

And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
Diese sagten zu ihr: Frau, warum weinst du? Sie antwortete ihnen: Sie haben meinen Herrn weggenommen und ich weiß nicht, wohin sie ihn gelegt haben.
And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
Als sie das gesagt hatte, wandte sie sich um und sah Jesus dastehen, wusste aber nicht, dass es Jesus war.
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
Jesus sagte zu ihr: Frau, warum weinst du? Wen suchst du? Sie meinte, es sei der Gärtner, und sagte zu ihm: Herr, wenn du ihn weggebracht hast, sag mir, wohin du ihn gelegt hast! Dann will ich ihn holen.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
Jesus sagte zu ihr: Maria! Da wandte sie sich um und sagte auf Hebräisch zu ihm: Rabbuni!, das heißt: Meister.

Jesus sagte zu ihr: Halte mich nicht fest; denn ich bin noch nicht zum Vater hinaufgegangen. Geh aber zu meinen Brüdern und sag ihnen: Ich gehe hinauf zu meinem Vater und eurem Vater, zu meinem Gott und eurem Gott.
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Maria von Magdala kam zu den Jüngern und verkündete ihnen: Ich habe den Herrn gesehen. Und sie berichtete, was er ihr gesagt hatte.
Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
Am Abend dieses ersten Tages der Woche, als die Jünger aus Furcht vor den Juden bei verschlossenen Türen beisammen waren, kam Jesus, trat in ihre Mitte und sagte zu ihnen: Friede sei mit euch!

Nach diesen Worten zeigte er ihnen seine Hände und seine Seite. Da freuten sich die Jünger, als sie den Herrn sahen.
And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
Jesus sagte noch einmal zu ihnen: Friede sei mit euch! Wie mich der Vater gesandt hat, so sende ich euch.
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
Nachdem er das gesagt hatte, hauchte er sie an und sagte zu ihnen: Empfangt den Heiligen Geist!
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
Denen ihr die Sünden erlasst, denen sind sie erlassen; denen ihr sie behaltet, sind sie behalten.
Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
Thomas, der Didymus genannt wurde, einer der Zwölf, war nicht bei ihnen, als Jesus kam.

Die anderen Jünger sagten zu ihm: Wir haben den Herrn gesehen. Er entgegnete ihnen: Wenn ich nicht das Mal der Nägel an seinen Händen sehe und wenn ich meinen Finger nicht in das Mal der Nägel und meine Hand nicht in seine Seite lege, glaube ich nicht.

Acht Tage darauf waren seine Jünger wieder drinnen versammelt und Thomas war dabei. Da kam Jesus bei verschlossenen Türen, trat in ihre Mitte und sagte: Friede sei mit euch!
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Dann sagte er zu Thomas: Streck deinen Finger hierher aus und sieh meine Hände! Streck deine Hand aus und leg sie in meine Seite und sei nicht ungläubig, sondern gläubig!
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Thomas antwortete und sagte zu ihm: Mein Herr und mein Gott!
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus sagte zu ihm: Weil du mich gesehen hast, glaubst du. Selig sind, die nicht sehen und doch glauben.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Noch viele andere Zeichen hat Jesus vor den Augen seiner Jünger getan, die in diesem Buch nicht aufgeschrieben sind.

Diese aber sind aufgeschrieben, damit ihr glaubt, dass Jesus der Christus ist, der Sohn Gottes, und damit ihr durch den Glauben Leben habt in seinem Namen.
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
