Sie hämmerten Goldbleche zurecht, zerschnitten sie zu Fäden und arbeiteten die Fäden in den violetten, purpurroten und karmesinroten Stoff und in das Leinen ein.

Und sie schlugen das Gold und schnitten’s zu Faden, daß man’s künstlich wirken konnte unter den blauen und roten Purpur, Scharlach und weiße Leinwand.

Sie schlugen goldene Plättchen breit, schnitten sie in Fäden, um sie zwischen violettem und rotem Purpur, Karmesin und Byssus als Kunstweberarbeit einzuwirken.
