Der König sprach zu ihnen: Was euch gefällt, das will ich tun. Und der König trat ans Tor, und alles Volk zog aus bei Hunderten und bei Tausenden.

»Ich will euren Rat befolgen«, antwortete David. Dann stellte er sich ans Stadttor, und das Heer zog in Abteilungen geordnet an ihm vorbei.

Der König antwortete ihnen: Ich will tun, was ihr für richtig haltet. Darauf stellte sich der König neben das Stadttor und die Leute zogen nach Hundertschaften und Tausendschaften geordnet hinaus.
