Und war daselbst der Streit zerstreut auf allem Lande; und der Wald fraß viel mehr Volk des Tages, denn das Schwert fraß.

Die Kämpfe breiteten sich über das ganze umliegende Gebiet aus. Der Wald dort aber war so unwegsam und gefährlich, dass er noch mehr Opfer forderte als die Schlacht selbst.

Der Kampf breitete sich über die ganze dortige Gegend aus und der Wald verschlang an jenem Tag mehr Krieger als das Schwert.
